Georgina's ideas for a treatment of a film

Treatment
Title - Infanticide - Description, The crime of a mother killing her child within a year of birth, A person who kills an infant. (Psychological + Crime)
Plot - A homicide detective, who we follow though out the film as he solves a tragic crime of murder. There is also a  sub-plot but this is the main story line of the film we discover that he is troubled with his own problems. After as a child witnessing his mother killing his younger brother as a infant, he is  by the ghost of his brother? or is it just inside his head.
Conventional characters - Homicide detective, Solves crime.
Homage to which Director/Film - Opening credits, (Seven) Directed By David Fincher. Also elements of Shutter Island, Directed By Martin Scorsese,  have influenced me into coming up with my own response to a thriller film plot.

Opening titles - Close up shot’s of books and papers with murder victims. We assume after watching films like ‘Seven’ that we are being introduced to the protagonist. But instead this is a journal of a homicide detective who stores all the murder’s he has solved.
In the opening sequence we are introduced to this character (The Detective) and are shown more details about his character. We see he is very complected and although he act’s normal to his partner,  the camera act’s as if we are him and we notice he is all over the place, jumping to rash decisions.

25 words - A gripping thriller, of the emotion and torture a troubled Detective goes through after losing his brother at a young age by his murdering mother.
